After over 60 plays growing up in Erie, PA, Julie received a BFA in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and began her career in New York City.


She performed in musicals such as City Center Encores’ Bye Bye Birdie and The Apple Tree, alongside Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth and Michael Cerveris. Julie originated the role of Tanya in a new Off Broadway musical called The Black Monk opposite Drama Desk and Obie Award winner Austin Pendleton, and recorded the Original Cast Album. She starred in the long-running Off Broadway production of The Fantasticks with writer/director Tom Jones when it moved to Times Square. Julie also performed at NY City Center in many productions with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players such as The GondoliersIolanthe, and The Pirates of Penzance. Other highlights include performing with the Shakespeare Theatre Company under the direction of Jonathan Munby of the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Dog and the Manger, playing Maria on the world tour of West Side Story, and earning a Barrymore Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress as Cosette in Les Miserables

 

Julie’s acting career in television includes a recurring role in the upcoming Season 2 of Truth Be Told on Apple TV+ opposite Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson, Murder In The First (recurring), The Young & The Restless, Law & Order: SVU, and Cupid opposite Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson. Her work also includes films such as Giveaway opposite Jay Ellis which premiered at HollyShorts Film Festival, Life At The Resort which won Best Comedy Feature at the NY International Film Festival, and the leading role of Inside which premiered at The Cannes Film Festival and London’s Frightfest in 2019. As a studio singer and voiceover artist, she has worked on films such as the animated feature Rock Dog directed by Oscar nominated Ash Brannon, as well as The Violinist which premiered in 2020. Julie’s latest film Chance of Showers, a short that she co-wrote/produced/stars in, was an all female film, premiered at Dances With Films at the Hollywood Chinese Theater, was a Finalist in the Films by Women category at the Burbank International Film Festival, and an Official Selection for the California Women’s Film Festival in 2020.

 

Julie’s debut solo album From Here was released on January 10, 2020. In the traditional pop vocal style, it was recorded at the historic Village Studios in Los Angeles, with a full 46-piece orchestra from Budapest. The album is available on iTunes, Spotify, and all other music platforms.
