After over 60 plays throughout her childhood in Erie, Pennsylvania, Julie did her first professional show at age 17, and then followed her dreams to New York City. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

During and after college, Julie performed in many shows in New York, including several City Center Encores productions alongside Tony Award winners such as Kristin Chenoweth and Michael Cerveris, an original musical called The Black Monk on Theatre Row opposite Drama Desk and Obie Award winner Austin Pendleton (also did an original cast recording), and the lead in the world’s longest running musical The Fantasticks at its new theatre in Times Square. She has also acted with the Shakespeare Theatre Company under the direction of Jonathan Munby of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and played Maria in West Side Story on the Broadway world tour. She earned a Barrymore Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress as Cosette in Les Miserables.

Also upon graduating, Julie began her career in Film/TV with many network television shows opposite actors such as Bobby Cannavale, Sarah Paulson, Eric McCormack, and Taye Diggs. Her work in TV also includes multiple soap operas and national television commercials. She has done many independent feature films including Life At The Resort which won Best Comedy Feature at the NY International Film Festival.  Julie is also a studio singer for film scores and voiceover artist such as in the animated feature Rock Dog, starring Luke Wilson and J.K. Simmons, directed by Oscar nominated Ash Brannon.

Julie has several feature film projects in development currently as a producer. Her latest creation Chance of Showers, a short film that she co-wrote/produced/starred in with Alex Ellis, will soon be screened in film festivals across the country.

Julie is currently recording her first solo album. It will be in the traditional pop style, arranged and composed by Daniel Weidlein, recorded at the historic Village Studios in LA, backed by a full 39 piece orchestra in Budapest.
